Why do you want to work with us?
Before I’d photographed a same-sex wedding, I spoke at length to a lovely lass who was getting married. She asked me if I could photograph her wedding. When she said ‘it’s a same-sex wedding; is that okay?’, I was shocked. Shocked that she thought she needed to ask, that it might have made a difference to me, and worse that she thought someone might object. So, here’s me, making it clear: I am a same-sex wedding photographer and I want to work with you!
What is your approach to weddings?
Fine‐arty and documentary, fun and chock full of emotion.
What do you love about what you do?
Being the eyes of the couple, for who the day will pass so quickly. Noticing little things; emotion, expressions and fun. I’ve photographed a huge range of weddings from Humanist ceremonies on clifftops at midnight, to Pagan jump‐the‐broomstick weddings inside 6,000 year-old stone circles, home‐barn hoolies and even some traditional ones…
What’s your favourite wedding song?
Amazed, by Lonestar, (I’ll even shoot your wedding in my cowboy boots, if you ask!)
Anywhere in Britain ‐ Highlands, Island and Northern Ireland ‐ mostly free, but would need to make small charges for great distance and ferry travel.
